Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 10, 2026
At MP3 Tag Editor Pro, accessible from https://mp3tagpro.com, the privacy of our visitors is of paramount importance. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected and recorded by MP3 Tag Editor Pro and how we use it, in strict adherence to Google AdSense publisher policies, GDPR, and CCPA standards.
1. Client-Side WebAssembly Privacy Model (Audio Files & Metadata)
The core architectural pillar of MP3 Tag Editor Pro is client-side execution: we do not upload, transmit, process, or store your audio files on our servers.
- Zero Cloud Uploads: When you drag, drop, or select MP3, M4A, FLAC, or other audio files, parsing and editing occur entirely within your browser's local sandbox memory (RAM) utilizing client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly (Wasm).
- Acoustic Fingerprinting: When utilizing automated song matching, audio fingerprinting is computed locally on your device via compiled WebAssembly (using
rusty-chromaprint-wasm). Only non-reversible mathematical fingerprint hashes and track durations are sent to the open AcoustID API for track identification; raw audio waveforms or file contents are never transmitted. - Album Artwork & File System Access: Image files selected for album art remain strictly within your device's memory. When you click "Save Tags", the updated file is generated entirely locally and saved directly to your device via your browser's download manager.
2. Information We Collect
We do not require user account registration. The only personal information we collect occurs when you contact us directly via email (such as your name, email address, and the content of your inquiry), or through automated web analytics and advertising cookies as outlined below.
3. Log Files & Server Diagnostics
MP3 Tag Editor Pro follows industry-standard web server procedures by utilizing log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and the number of clicks. This data is not linked to any personally identifiable information and is used exclusively for administering the site, preventing malicious traffic, and analyzing aggregate demographic trends.
